Meet the Heart Behind the Work

My 11 years of working in the hospital gave me a lot of opportunities.

I have been assigned to many clinical areas - medical-surgical ward, hemodialysis, and transplant unit. I provided care to COVID-19 patients when the pandemic hit.

I met a lot of people and got to know their stories. My experiences inspired me to help others more, even in the smallest possible way.

While my heart wanted to continue serving, I had to prioritize my health and well-being. So, I decided to leave the nursing profession.

Shifting to Freelancing

After leaving the hospital, I started working remotely as a healthcare virtual assistant. For 3 years and counting, I have been assisting healthcare clinics and providers virtually. This way, I am still serving others, just from a distance.

Writing has been my favorite hobby ever since. Writing down and organizing my thoughts in a journal also feels like therapy for my overthinking. It gives me a new perspective, an open mind, and a more positive attitude.

My desire to serve, combined with my love for writing, led me to become a certified persuasive copywriter. Through copywriting, I can use my skills to help people achieve their goals.

My Catholic faith has been a strong pillar throughout my journey. I have always leaned on my faith in all that I do. Be it from bedside care to virtual support to writing. My faith has shaped my life, including how I serve others.

My core values (Compassion, Advocacy, Reliability, Integrity, Nurture, and Growth) guide my mission to make a difference in the lives of the people I serve. I aim to reflect these values in everything I do.

Aside from writing informative health content on my blog, I also share reflections on how my faith inspires my work and life.
